Lace from an Ace
If you’re wearing a lace gown, or incorporating a bit of lace into your overall theme, consider choosing a cake that looks like layer upon stylish layer of delicate lace. Cake designers – like Ron Ben-Israel – have been inspired by embroidered lace strewn with floral appliqués and have subsequently created silicone molds including roses, dahlias, and periwinkles, pressing sugar paste into each before applying them to the fondant to create a masterpiece of sugar and intricate design.
