Around the World! Decorate Your Next Event With Globes

Posted December 29th, 2011 by Staley Mcllwain | Post the First Comment

A few days ago, I saw a dessert table (that you will see too!) that featured an “All Around the World” theme and I thought  it was so cute! It got me thinking about incorporating globes into other events. They are a fun but cheap element that you can find them at almost any thrift store. The older looking ones can add a vintage feel and some offer a pop of color with their bright blue base. Here are a few of my favorite ways to incorporate globes at your next event.

This was the dessert table that I found the other day that I just love! The combination of hot air balloons and globes is different but I just love it! I love the “Fly Away With Me” banner that could be an easy DIY element. It also plays up a “Love is in the Air” theme with the travel, globes and hot air balloons! (Via Sweets Indeed)

Globes can also make the perfect center pieces for a dinner party, birthday party or even a wedding. This table also pulled the colors out from the globes for the table cloth and napkins. You could also make the globes a fun game spinning them around and talking about places you have traveled! (via Oh Happy Day)

This couple used globes at the wedding as fun props and decor set out on hay bales. It was a DIY wedding with a budget of $1500 so they used globes they already had,set them out and it made  for pretty decor. They were also used as props in a photobooth with wedding guests! Now this just might be my FAVORITE use of globes I have found! Take some old globes and turn them into snowmen for holiday decorations for a Christmas party or just to have as Christmas decorations! These are just so cute, I am contemplating going to the thrift store to find some to make into snowmen! (via Emily Henderson Design)

So do you want to go “around the world” at your next event? I’m thinking I do!
