Holiday Party DIY: Edible Christmas Place Cards

Posted December 15th, 2011 by Staley Mcllwain | Post the First Comment

When planning for a Christmas party or event, one thing to think about is place cards for your table settings. They are a perfect way to add some holiday cheer at your table. Whether its a family get together or a fancy party, here are a few ideas when making place cards this holiday season. Another fun element to add to the place card is making them edible! From candy canes to cookies, here are a few neat (and tasty!) ideas when setting your table this Christmas.

This is such an easy DIY that is so cute! Take three mini candy canes, glue them together, tie a ribbon around them and then print out name cards and Voila! A candy cane holder as a place card. If you leave the candy canes wrapped in the plastic, guests could also take them home as a little treat. (via Sew Many Ways)

How cute would these little santas be at a kids table? They are actually made with Peppermint Patties in the center with just scrapbook paper. So easy and so cute! (via Qbees Quest)

These stocking cookies just might be my favorite! Make Christmas cookies, place them in a plastic bag and set at each table setting with a tag for each person’s names. If I made these I might have to eat dessert before the meal but at Christmas anything goes, right? (Via Clare’s Bakeshop)

While these aren’t really place cards, I think they could be a great alternative. These mini gingerbread houses are made to sit on your coffee mug and I think they are so fun. If you are hosting Christmas day brunch or any kind of Christmas event, I think these could be so cute if you personalized them with your guests’ inital. Of course,  they would go great with coffee or hot chocolate! (Via Not Martha)

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m thinking I wouldn’t mind finding one of these sweet place cards at the next Holiday party I go to!
