A Pretty Table Setting for a Preppy Summer Soiree

Posted May 2nd, 2011 by Heather Vreeland | 3 Comments - Post A Comment

We’re dreaming of preppy parties these days and with the summer months nearly around the corner, what a better time to break out bright colors and pretty details for the perfect preppy party.   Inspired by the chic jewelry designs of Stella & Dot and the classic eye-catching styles of Lilly Pulitzer, this table setting is aimed to please the most discerning hostess.  Perhaps the bright yellow hues will light a spark in you to throw your very own summer soiree.

The invitation suite is a tri-fold booklet wrapped in a yellow and white chevron pattern print.  The bright hello ribbon criss-crosses down the back and is tied in a cute bow.  We opted for pearl napkin rings to bring some girly bling to the table setting.  The china setting is a combination of the lime and mandarin colors in the Haviland “Laque de Chine” Gold pattern.  The duo is one of the most colorful patterns we found at Bloomingdales!

The cake design mirrors the gorgeous pendants in the Stella & Dot Birds of Paradise necklace.    Below and left, our model Mckenzie is wearing the Betsey Dress Jacquard and the Shayna Dress Lace on the right.
