Plaid is Perfect for a Winter Dinner Party
Doesn’t everyone just love a pretty table setting?!? Well lovelies, I’m equally excited to debut to you today two very fabulous things: our brand spanking new website AND this very gorgeous plaid table setting I’ve been holding onto designed by our friend Mandy at Waiting on Martha. Alas, I can finally share the beautiful details of both with you after keeping them secret for so long! If you recognize the creativity in this shoot, it’s because the same fabulous duo that put together our Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas post also whipped this one up too. Mandy and Rustic White Photography are a match made in photoshoot heaven! What I love about this table setting is the flexibility to be the perfect setting or Christmas or for any occasion occurring in the Winter months. Perhaps you have a mountainside cabin… this would be ideal! As you devour the images below, get a paper and pen ready because you’ll want to take notes!
Easy Entertaining Trick…
To keep champagne cold and add a festive flair simply skewer cranberries on to cocktail skewers and freeze. Then simply pop a strand into each champagne glass when guests arrive.
From Mandy…… In life I’m all about multi-tasking, and I feel the same way about entertaining. To me life is about creating a beautiful everyday…not just one beautiful event. Therefore when I’m looking for things to add to my home or ever growing entertaining collection the items HAVE to be multi use (there are too many shoes and handbags I want to go and spend all of my money on tableware). That’s what I’m loving about this tablescape, it can be used for so many occasions. A winter dinner party, Christmas, even New Years Eve… the possibilities are endless. And many of the pieces like the mercury glass vases, votives and resin antlers can be used all throughout the year on any tablescape or as decorative accents throughout your home. And why not send your guests home with one of the mini spruce trees in our gorgeous plaid planter? A Rosemary bush would have also looked perfect and made the whole room smell amazing!
