A Wizard of Oz Themed Party

There’s this thing, or rather event, that us wedding professionals do each year and it’s called the Event Design Trends Competition and it’s hosted by the local chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives. We featured a few tables from the event last year here, here and here. This year’s event wowed even more. So, in the coming days and weeks we’ll be showing off some of the party themes and table setting ideas the designers cooked up.

First up is the super cute Wizard of Oz Party Theme by Toast Events. If you’ve ever met Lindsay Pitt, you know, she’s a real life version of Glinda the Good Witch. Her description of this table setting will transport you straight to the Land of Oz…..

Follow the yellow brick road and peek into a dinner party with the characters from the beloved Wizard of Oz. They have stopped “somewhere over the rainbow” to enjoy a wonderful dinner party. Each place setting at the table reflects the unique personalities that define each character from the film. Look closely to notice the perfectly planned menu and significant details from the film: the yellow brick road, Dorothy’s gingham red poppies and more! After dinner the guests will enjoy a whimsical dessert bar with special treats created just for them. The characters enjoy one last dinner together Before Dorothy and Toto head “no place like home.”
