Ombre Wedding Trend

On of the hot color trends in the fashion world for this summer and fall is the ombre look. This is when you start with a color and fade through various hues into white. With the popularity of color in the wedding world right now, the ombre look is great because it adds in a lot of fun shades without the color being too overwhelming. There are so many ways to incorporate it, here are a few of my favorite.

Bridesmaid dresses are a great way to include the ombre color! The brides dress incorporates the white, so to get the ombre effect dress the maids in varying shades of the same color. This is also a great way to let your ‘maids all get a slightly different look. Another option is to look for an ombre dress for your ‘maids that start with a deep hue and fade to white all in one dress. (Photography via: Green Wedding Shoes)

While it has been done, most brides want to keep their gowns traditional and therefore wouldn’t want to include the ombre look in their gown. A great way to include it somewhere in their look is with the addition of ombre shoes! Colorful shoes are all the rage right now, and I love the idea of ombre shoes. And if you aren’t keen on the idea of bright pink toes peeping from beneath a white gown, find shoes that fade to white at the toes. (Photography via: A Monique Affair)

In order to add the ombre effect to your reception, decorate in varying hues of your one accent color. This floral centerpiece truly captures the ombre look by having the colorful flowers vary in hues from white to bright pink. (Photography via: Eva Rose)

And of course, the most popular place to see the ombre effect is in the wedding cake. An ombre effect is easy to create with icing. Or, my personal favorite is to create it with colored cake layers like this cake.  (Photography via: babble)

So choose your favorite color and include all of its hues with this trendy effect. I’m sure you’ll have a ton of fun figuring out how to include it.
