OK, if you haven’t heard about The Not Wedding by now, today is the perfect time to get acquainted with the completely genius idea (and the people behind it!). Since 2008, The Not Wedding has been staging full-out weddings — we’re talking ceremony tears and first dances, the works — to give brides and wedding planners everywhere a first hand look at the fantastic vendors Atlanta has to offer. So cool, right?
Our feature today is The Not Wedding “rehearsal dinner.” Held and catered at the always charming Sun in My Belly, with super cheerful decor from Amy Osaba, this was a rehearsal dinner that I might not mind sitting through two hours of toasts for (don’t ask…)! I love the way that this dinner doesn’t try to upstage the “bigger show” of the actual wedding reception. The floral arrangements are simple but charming alongside the paper garland and larger than life flower cutouts on every wall. I’d call the look put-together-downtown-chic meets Parisian flower stall, also known as my kinda party.

That food! The ambient lighting! So cozy…makes me want to run out the door and join the bride for a bottle of wine.
