When Jesse Daniels Photography sent over these “day after” shots, we just had to share them with you. Cute concept, clever photographer and handsome couple always equals a great post. The premise of the pictures? Let’s just say that for this bride and groom, football run deep. Why don’t I let the new Mrs. Brunson explain….
Cory and I both went to F.J. Reitz High School and graduated in 1997. We reconnected in March 2010 and started dating. Cory’s family has a long tradition with football. His grandfather, father, two uncles, cousin, brother and himself …all played football for F.J. Reitz High School. His grandfather Charles 1931, father Charles 1966, uncle George 1952, cousin Kirk 1982 and Cory 1996 were all were awarded as All-State Football players. Cory also played for The Evansville BlueCats, a professional indoor football team. Cory’s father coach’s the freshman football team and Cory is the varsity offensive coordinator for the F.J. Reitz High School.
Naturally, Reitz Bowl was an excellent place for our wedding photos…it only seemed natural to have photos that captured the Brunson’s love for football. Cory’s uncle Gary Brunson, who also played for Reitz is a pastor at West Side Christian Church, 1200 North Red Bank Road, Evansville, IN. It was very special to have him marry us. As we exited the church, instead of a tradition receiving line. Everyone lined up and we walked thru tapping hands, just like the coaches and players do after a game. Attached are two pictures of this.
Our cocktail reception (which started at most game times was at 7:00 pm). It was at Riverview by Firefly, 1 Main Street, Evansville, IN which had a beautiful room and terrace that over looks the river. Served Thai Peanut Chicken Skewers, Twice Baked Fingerling Potatoes, Mini Grilled Cheeses, Cheese, Fruit and Crackers and of course an after game staple…Pepperoni Pizza Bites.
The best Advice I received was to hold on to perfection until the day of…Just let it all go on the wedding day, because all your hard work has paid off.
What were the Honeymoon plans? Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic where we had a wedding ceremony on the beach just for the two of us. We wrote our own vows and had a really special ceremony that included all the things of our other wedding but on a more intimate level. I’ve attached two pictures from our wedding ceremony in the Dominican.

I have known Jesse and Gena Daniels for many years. I had “liked” the link to their facebook website for their business many years ago. I always enjoyed looking at their pictures, and have always thought they did amazing work. So when I became engaged, I started looking more at their wedding photos. Every time I looked at them, I was saying, I “love” this one!…I want something like that! So, it was obvious that when it came to a wedding photographer, I just had to have them. I love how creative and unique their photos are. I loved how after looking at their photos, I felt like I knew the people and felt like I could have been friends with them. Did they just have really attractive clients that lead really happy, wonderful lives? I’d like to think so, but I think it’s also a testimony to how great of photographers they truly are. They capture people in a unique way, showing their personalities, their passions, and most importantly their love for one another. Not every photographer captures this. Not every photographer goes that extra step to make their clients feel comfortable. I must say, that Jesse and Gena really have a great talent, and Cory and I are honored to have them take our photos that will cherish forever.
