If you’ve seen the winter issue of Occasions Magazine — and we hope you have! — you know that we love an anniversary party around here. Though the party we threw was for a wedding anniversary, there are many an anniversary just waiting to be celebrated. Take for example, this beautiful event from F and G Weddings shot by Kreativ Touch Photography. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Papered Wonders custom stationers brands! Lisa Zachery who does amazing stationery for the wedding industry as well as for corporate clients chose to give thanks to the people who allowed her to create her own business by throwing a truly fabulous party!

Can you give us an overview of the event?: We celebrated our tenth year of service. The evening was a memorable event full of inspiration, much like the past ten years of business has been. Our clients inspire us daily and the evening was a tribute to them. Was there a specific theme or style?: We wanted to combine the rich elements of art and inspiration. We achieved this goal by including dance, spoken word, music, and poetry.

What inspired the theme or style?: Our tagline is “purely wondrous inspiration” and this became the main motivator for the celebration. It was our way of saying “thank you” to our clients for a phenomenal decade of business.

What were your playful twists that made the event unique?: We solicited a dance company to put on a one hour performance. The performance was eclectic and totally unexpected by our guests. We gave them theatre, dance, and a party all in one celebration.

What was the most memorable moment?: Every moment of the evening was memorable. In an effort to show our clients and vendor partners our utmost appreciation, they continued to express their gratitude to us for sharing such a memorable occasion with them. Every time a client expressed these wishes, it made the night even more memorable.
Tell us about the food and desserts.: A Divine Event designed a menu full of “wickedly delicious” food including gourmet macaroni and cheese, jerk chicken, plaintains, stir fried collard greens and more. During the pre-reception cocktail hour the lobster mac and cheese balls were a big hit prepared by Allison Ellis Catering. We also had delightfully delicious mini-cupcakes by Treecie Treats cupcakery.

What kind of energy did your entertainment give the event?: It was the catalyst for the evening. The dance company put together six arrangements that were completely different, but all awe-inspiring in their own unique way.

Very nicely done! Also nice article. Always remember that no matter what the event, professional sound equipment is always needed and sometimes a professional Wedding DJ is the perfect person to help move an event along on the right course and keep your guest entertained!
