While going through all of the beautiful dresses from our feature in the Winter 2013 issue of Occasions Magazine, we asked ourselves, who got Laura all glammed up? The fabulous team over at POSH, that’s who. So, we asked the two lovely duo to give us the 411 on the hair and makeup inspirations for each look. Shayzon Prince and Tymeka McNeal, owners of POSH, were super excited and LOVED the process of working with one model, eight dresses, beautiful accessories, gorgeous flowers and an awesome photographer!!

Shayzon: Hair
A show stopper! Laura’s Faux bob was an exciting transformation for me. This look was created by curling her long hair and strategically placing and pinning each curl to achieve her glamourous and sleek silhouette. I was entirely inspired by the elegance of the 40’s.
Tymeka: Makeup
My favorite look of the day!! Once this gorgeous dress was chosen, I immediately had a vision of doing an all time classic smoky eye. I created this look with amazing definition in mind and chose a satin taupe color to use on the lid along with a pinch of brown, black and a hint of plum in the crease to create this beautifully blended smoky eye. To complete this look, I added a soft glow of rose colored blush along with a beautiful neutral glossy lip and a great pair of lashes of course!
Double Take

The inspiration behind the hair for this look was all about the beauty of a Princess. This upswept style was structured with a hint of innocence in mind. I carefully pinned each curl into a beautifully looped design at the crown of the head which gave a classic feel to such a uniquely beautiful dress.
Shayzon: Makeup
Completely mesmerized by the delicateness of the ivory and yellow ombre gown, a natural sun kissed glow, light contouring and neutral makeup colors was the perfect fusion for me to tie together this innocent and timeless look.
American Beauty
Shayzon: Hair
Subtle waves were created throughout the hair to capture a modern bohemian style, a perfect selection to harmonize a complete organic look of effortless natural beauty.
Tymeka: Makeup
This dress gave a feel of a beautiful beach wedding which inspired me to opt for a less is more approach to the makeup. I chose soft pale shades of pink and lavender tones to accentuate the beautiful bouquet of flowers. Adding a hint of shimmer and a pale pink lip color gave this look a fresh clean glow.
A Cinderella Story

I approached this hairstyle with a simple yet classic up-do to give focus to the beautiful pop of color on the cheeks and lips!
Shayzon: Makeup
I knew immediately when I saw this amazing cinderella gown that beautiful makeup that accentuates the eyes and infuses the perfect pop of color on the lips was a superb choice to achieve the look of a princess bride.

Shayzon: Hair
The voluminous, bold and bouncy hairstyle filled with beautiful large curls, was purely inspired by Laura’s breathtaking, ethereal and romantic gown.
Tymeka: Makeup
For this gorgeous dress, I applied a soft smoky chocolate colored eye shadow along with a bold lip color and a beautiful pair of lashes to bring this fairytale look to life!
Portrait of a Lady
Tymeka: Hair
For this style, the hair was neatly placed in a simple low bun to give focus to the amazing burst of color in this one of a kind gorgeous bouquet headpiece.
Shayzon: Makeup
The brilliance of the flower headpiece along with the elegance and sophistication of the gown, strongly influenced my decision in giving Laura bold lips, glamorous lashes and lightly defined eyebrows. This entire look was dramatic, captivating and elegantly executed.
Movers & Shakers
Shayzon: Hair
A stylish updo was essential to accentuate Laura’s neckline and shoulders and also a splendid option for an evening of dancing.
Tymeka: Makeup
This makeup look was extremely playful and sweet! I chose a bold fuchsia lip and coordinating eye shadow colors to give this look its fun feel.
