Now that it’s October, there are Halloween ideas popping up all over. As much as we love the traditional combination of black and orange, I think the more unexpected combination of black and white lends itself to a more unique experience. The look is great for adults-only celebrations as well as family friendly ones. I’ve pulled together some looks that will help you on your way to creating a great black and white party.
Setting a table full of food that coordinates with your colors is always a good idea. This table is simply draped with yards of white cheesecloth that mimics the look of spider webs. There are plenty of “white” foods here with a touch of green added to give it a more ghoulish look. For napkins, you can use paper or cloth in white, and wrap them up with these adorable (but spooky) DIY black bat rings.
A black and white dessert display can be showcased on a tall book case instead of a side table. I love this idea as each shelf can feature something different. The black and white pumpkins are a wonderful addition to the overall decor and can be made with spray paint, lace, and some adhesive embellishments and ribbon from the craft store.
Black and white desserts are the perfect way to end the evening and these spider web cookies fit the bill perfectly. Black and white parfaits also look great with their alternating layers. Anything chocolate and vanilla would work well for this black and white menu.
